Blossa 23 – Old Town.

In 2023, Blossa's annual glögg celebrated its 20th anniversary by returning home and drawing inspiration from the lively squares, breweries, and narrow alleys of Gamla Stan, Stockholm.

Blossa 23.

Among Sweden's oldest streets and squares, where pubs jostle with colorful houses in winding alleys, we find the place where the first Blossa bottle was filled in 1895. Even today, all of Blossa's glögg is made from the same secret base recipe, a unique spice blend that is aged for months and made from wine from carefully selected vineyards.

It is the love for craftsmanship that has made Blossa a cherished tradition, and it was this history, Blossa's own, that served as the inspiration for the 2023 annual glögg. Raspberries added a playful berry note to Blossa 23, the sweetness of which was balanced by hops that became particularly evident in the aftertaste. The tones of the hops were especially well captured by the cloves from the mulled wine spices, which together offered an exciting combination. This year's mulled wine took us back to when the first Blossa bottle was filled, and Gamla Stan was a gathering place for markets and breweries.
